The Story Behind the Artwork

This artwork is a tribute to Abdul Rehman Sajid — HAVI.

The sunflower is more than a flower here. It represents the light, happiness, and warmth HAVI gives to people.

But the sunflower is deliberately incomplete.

Because HAVI, too, has a side that remains unseen.

There is the HAVI the world knows the artist who walks onto a stage and suddenly owns the moment. The voice, the energy, and the presence that makes an entire crowd feel alive.

And then there is Abdul Rehman.

The man behind HAVI.

The unfinished stories.
The responsibilities.
The struggles.
The dreams that took longer than expected.

The missing half of the sunflower represents that story a part that exists, but remains unseen.

This piece is an invitation: whenever you look at HAVI, even for a moment, remember that there may be a story behind the light a person who carries his own weight while continuing to become a source of light for everyone else.

The Story Behind the Wood

The wood used for HAVI comes from a window reclaimed from DHA Phase 8, 1086 V Block.

Originally serving a functional purpose as part of a window, the wood has been given a completely different life through this artwork.

Rather than allowing an old piece of material to simply disappear from use, Blockistry transforms it into part of a piece carrying a much deeper story.

There is something particularly fitting about that transformation in HAVI.

A window is traditionally something we look through to see what is outside. In HAVI, the reclaimed window wood becomes part of an artwork about looking beyond what is visible beyond the public artist, and toward the person behind him.

The Blockistry Craft

120 Hours Behind One Story

HAVI represents 120 hours of crafting.

Every element of the artwork contributes to its meaning, particularly the deliberately incomplete sunflower.

The artwork isn't simply designed to represent a sunflower. Its incomplete form is an intentional part of the storytelling representing the side of HAVI that the world doesn't always see.

The reclaimed wood is transformed into the individual elements of the artwork, bringing together material, craftsmanship, symbolism, and personal story in one piece.

120 hours of work. One unfinished sunflower. One story that goes beyond what is visible.

Why HAVI Is Different

Most artwork celebrates what is visible.

HAVI tells the story of what isn't.

The centerpiece of the concept the incomplete sunflower is intentionally unfinished.

The visible half represents the HAVI people know:

Light. Energy. Warmth. Performance. Presence.

The missing half represents the Abdul Rehman people may not see:

Unfinished stories. Responsibilities. Struggles. Dreams.

That contrast is what gives HAVI its identity.

It isn't simply a portrait or an artwork inspired by an artist. It is an exploration of the person behind the public identity.

A Note About Reclaimed Wood

HAVI is created using reclaimed wood, meaning the material has already had a previous life before becoming part of the artwork.

Because natural wood is never completely uniform, variations in:

  • Grain
  • Texture
  • Tone
  • Natural markings
  • Knots
  • Small imperfections

may appear throughout the artwork.

These characteristics are part of the natural character of reclaimed wood and may create subtle differences between the product photographs and the actual piece.

These natural variations are part of what makes reclaimed wood artwork distinctive.

Made for Your Space

HAVI is more than conventional wall décor.

It is designed for someone who connects with the story behind the artist, the person behind the public identity, or the idea that there is always more to someone than what the world sees.

Whether displayed in a living room, studio, office, creative space, or personal collection, HAVI is designed to become a conversation piece not simply because of how it looks, but because of what it represents.
